Whitehorse School Challenge
The Whitehorse School Challenge js hosted by the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club.
Date: TBA
The School Challenge is a one day event open to all Whitehorse Grade 4, 5 and 6 students. Skiers participate in skill sessions during the morning and low key competitive events in the afternoon. Yukon Ski Team volunteers, parents, teachers and other club members will ensure a day of fun and activity.
The Whitehorse School Challenge is supported by Cross Country Canada and Cross Country Yukon.
The day's events will take place at Mt McIntyre Recreation Centre and the ski stadium, as well as the trails that lead to and from the stadium, including Stadium, Chalet and Ketza. Skiers are asked to use caution in this area and to watch for children between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Dogs will not be allowed on Chalet and Ketza Connector, so skiers with dogs are asked to park only at the Dog Trail parking lot.
