Wax and Wine evenings are open to all - members or non-members and there is no fee. It's a great way to meet other skiers and to ask questions about your own waxing problems.

Ed Schiffkorn, A Club Pioneer

The ski community lost one of it's 'pioneers' last week. Ed Schiffkorn was a key figure in the early years of downhill and cross country skiing in Whitehorse. He was a downhill skier and participated in the Canada Winter Games in the 60's. He was instrumental in the development of downhilll skiing at Haekel Hill in the 70's. The following was borrowed from the Sport Hall of Fame.
