Nordic Ski Patrol
The ski patrol is recruiting for the coming season. First Aid Training will begin in October. Please contact Tim Sellars at 668-6095 or rtsellars@northwestel.net if you are interested in finding out more about the ski patrol or registering.
Nordic patrollers who commit to 10 hours per month of patrolling during the current year, will receive a ski club membership at no charge. Patrollers who commit to less than 10 hours per month will be provided with day passes on the days that they patrol.

Ed Schiffkorn, A Club Pioneer
The ski community lost one of it's 'pioneers' last week. Ed Schiffkorn was a key figure in the early years of downhill and cross country skiing in Whitehorse. He was a downhill skier and participated in the Canada Winter Games in the 60's. He was instrumental in the development of downhilll skiing at Haekel Hill in the 70's.
