This past weekend Knute was part of the historic men’s 4x7.5 km relay team in Sweden, winning Canada’s first World Cup relay medal. With this win, he will be continuing on the World Cup Circuit, going to to the 2017 World Championships in three weeks and has met the qualifications to go to 2018 Winter Olympics (but not yet guaranteed).
Unfortunately his costs are high and rising. On top of living expenses, Knute has to pay for all his own travel, training and racing expenses. Federal and Territorial Funding for elite athletes does not come close to covering these costs.
If only 200 of us donate $100, we can give Knute the ability to make ends meet for the next year.
Knute has done the hard part – now let’s do ours, and give him the means to get to the Olympics.
Donations can be made as follows:
- Contributions can be made at the Ski Base with cash, cheque, debit or credit card. A tax receipt is available for contributions over $50. Ph. 867 668-4477.
- For those who cannot get to the Ski Base, print and fill out form (attached in the document below) along with a cheque payable to the National Sport Trust Fund and bring or mail to Sport Yukon, 4061 4th Avenue, Whitehorse Yukon Y1A1H1.
One last request: Please share this with your friends so that they too can help Knute get to South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
